The Bible says in I John 5 that we can KNOW that we have eternal life!
This is the most important thing we can know!
1. Realize you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23– For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
We’ve all missed the mark because of our sin. There is nothing that we, in and of ourselves that we can do to earn our way, because we are sinners
Romans 3:10– As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:12b– There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
We are altogether sinners, and that sin has separated us from God for eternity
2. Penalty for your sin.
Romans 6:23a– For the wages of sin is death;
Just like you may have an electric bill, you have a sin bill. And the only way to pay that bill is through death.
3. Payment was made!
Romans 5:8–But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The only way that payment could be made was death. There are only two suitable deaths for our sin. One, my own death to pay for my own sin, and that would last for eternity in Hell and the Lake of Fire. Two would be the One who knew no sin, yet became sin for us, Jesus.
4. Accept His free gift today.
Romans 10:13–For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Simply ask! Jesus died, was buried and rose again so that you could have life eternal. Trust him today!
Most will pray ask Christ to save them by saying something similar to this:
Dear Jesus,
I know I’m a sinner. I know that you were sent to earth to die for me.
I am trusting you, the best I know how for my eternal home in Heaven.
Jesus, please forgive me of my sin. I love you.
